Abstract

A presentation on the survey of the travel behaviour of potential users of the North European High Speed Train has already been made during the 1994 PTRC Summer Annual Meeting, at a time when the resuks relating to the impact of its introduction into service were not yet available. The present paper now focuses on the two main sets of results available which relate respectively to the High Speed Train (Train Grande Vitesse - TGV) service between Ile-de-France and Nord-Pas de Calais and the opening of the Channel Tunnel fixed link to passenger services, illustrating the two major analysis methods used. The last section is devoted to methodological problems before mentioning prospects for using the panel.
